And thank you for passing by. If I once conceived this blog as a sourcebook of useful quotes and notes, now it is become a place to record thoughts at the margins of my research.

Against Delivery, EARN/UCL Slade, Nov 2015

I hold a PhD in Creative Critical Writing from University College London. This newly launched degree aims to acknowledge the creative potential of critical thinking and its formulation in words. I am particularly interested in how the form of presentation affects the conceptual argument; in this case the encounter between an ongoing writing practice and the daily updateable short format of a blog post.

One name, two named

Conventionally, academic work begins with a research question, defines a method and presents evidence that builds up to a conclusion; my work, on contrast, resists conclusions. I do not seek to prove, but to pay attention – to words as they form writing and are informed by it in their turn.
